Propulsion TestingRocket Lab has the capability and facilities to conduct testing of new novel rocket propellants and rocket propulsion systems including formulation, characterization and performance evaluation. Rocket Lab operates two rocket motor testing facilities. Both are state of the art indoor facilities including thrust and pressure instrumentation, real-time video monitoring and control, fire suppression, smoke extraction and chemical scrubbing system for exhaust by-products. It enables Rocket Lab to undertake rapid characterization and development of new fuels and propulsion systems. Fuels are able to be produced in the laboratory, transferred directly into the test cell and results can be interpreted effortlessly on the same site. Rocket Lab utilizes a strand chamber for solid propellant characterization to MIL-STD-286C specification and can characterize propellants between 0 and 2500psi. Propellant development and testing is complemented by a full chemical and mechanical testing laboratory.
