Rocket Lab utilizes the latest 3D CAD, advanced non-linear FEA, CFD and trajectory modeling software to develop and simulate products prior to prototype manufacture and testing. Numerical simulation tools are used to develop in-house simulations to complex problems, where commercial options are not available. The design, analysis, manufacturing and testing of complex aerospace systems represents an integral part of operations at Rocket Lab. Our focus is on the rapid development of innovative technologies from conceptual design through to turn-key solutions. Our fast-paced, technology driven development of complex aerospace systems relies on innovative, parallel and iterative design strategies. The flat project team structure allows cross-functional cooperation between mechanical, electronic and test engineers. Extensive analysis, prototyping and testing are implemented early in the design cycle to minimize risks and reduce the time associated with product development.Rocket Lab uses these tools to conduct design and development of complete flight vehicles and associated subsystems.
